  • Employed by the Thomas Miller Group(1961-1999), a private firm based in the City of London, specialising in the management of mutual insurance associations, such as P&I Clubs, captive insurance companies and the provision of risk management services to market underwriters
  • Experience as Chairman and Chief Executive of the Miller Holding Company, as Chairman and Director of its subsidiaries in the UK, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia and the US and as Senior Partner of both its on-shore and off-shore partnerships
  • Played a key role in the Group's progressive development from a family firm into a significant international organisation, the leader in its field
  • Directed a period of significant and successful diversification into professional indemnity insurance services for the legal profession, patent agents and housing associations
  • Led the development of the Through Transport Mutual Insurance Association (the 'TT Club'), which provides insurance and related services for the intermodal transport industry, to market leadership in its field
